TEC2Move 2017 at Welios
Three days full of fun, action and technology!
Already for the fith time RIC (Regionales Innovations Centrum) their partners and the Welios Science Center have organized the TEC2move-Event. And once again it was very successful, because between the 27th and 29th of june more than 1.000 vititors were allowed to engage with science and let themselves get caried away by their fascination for technology.
TEC2Move is an event for those who want to experience the fascination for astronautics, mobility, flying, and technology vividly. RIC and their partners offer more than 70 exciting workshops that have one focus in common. That is do it yourself, co-design and try out!
Hands on Science and Technology
From exploring the virtual reality and enjoying an airshow of model planes to the creation of a water rocket everyone could find a programme item in their favour. In the Otelo Futurespace youngsters had the opportunity to witness how digital networking affects our lifes and were able to test 3D printers and transportable drones.
The Welios Science Center ran the workshop "Leonardo`s parachute" in which the children could explore how da Vinci`s invention works. The could build their own mini version of the parachute which they were able to take home. Moreover, Welios also provided a LEGO education workshop in which kindergardeners constructed a Lego Creator model plane together.
Were BRP-Rotax, Conrad Electronics, University of applied sciences Wels and the HTL Wels, the Johannes Kepler University, the Austrian space forum, Fronius International GmbH, Resch& Frisch, Otelo offenes Technologielabor Vorchdorf aswell as the Verein Science-Center Netzwerk.
In the TEC2Move contest schools had the opportunity to win a bus coupon. Students could win a ticket for the Formel 1 Grand Prix of Austria and teachers could win a balloon ride.
