Get to Wels main station, then enter every hour the train to direction “Almtal” (platforms 4, 11 or 12) to get out at Wels Messe.

From the central station you can also use the bus line 15 direction Thalheim and get off at the station Pollheimerstraße or Volksgartenstraße. Current timetables can be found here.

You can reach the Welios Science Center Wels via three highways (A1, A25, A8). After leaving the motorway towards the city center, follow the signs to the Welios. The Welios is located on the eastern fairgrounds, there are hundreds of parking spaces available for free (except for during trade fair events). Take the  exit Wels-West towards the center.

• from the direction of Vienna A1, A25, exit Wels West
• from the direction of Salzburg A1, A8, exit Wels West
• from Passau A8, exit Wels Nord or Wels West
• from Graz A9, A8, exit Wels West

Arriving by bus is recommended via the Wels-West exit in the direction of the city center. Follow the signs to Welios. In front of the Welios Science Center there is a marked exit zone for buses (Weliosplatz 1).

For evening and weekend trips we recommend the shared taxi Wels.

Shared taxi locations

• Car: The parking guidance system of the city of Wels leads you directly into the car park “Blackbox” (further name: “X-Garden”), which is located next to the Welios.Free parking is behind the Welser Stadthalle and in the exhibition center (5 minutes walk away) available.
• Buses: Bus parking is available at Welser Lokalbahnhof, 500 meters from Welios. It is also recommended to use the parking lots along the Dragonerstraße – beginning at the Federal Police Headquarters (Dragonerstraße 29) – to the west (out of town).
• Barrier-free parking: 3 barrier-free parking spaces close to the entrance are located at the back of the building (Rosenauerstraße).
